4 Day Lapa Rios Eco Lodge Stay
Set in a private nature reserve, Lapa Rios is paradise for lovers of wildlife, birding, nature and beaches. The 17 private bungalows line three ridges overlooking the pristine point where the Golfo Dulce meets the Pacific Ocean and are situated 350-feet above sea level. Lush walking paths and stairs that meander up to the main lodge connect all bungalows.
Lapa Rios Eco Lodge Arrival Day
Today you will fly to the Osa Peninsula, a region which has been described by National Geographic as ‘the most biologically intense place on earth’. Upon arrival, four wheel drive transportation will be waiting for you to take you to the Lapa Rios Eco Lodge, nestled deep in the forest.
Beach, jungle, and luxury are the main drawcards at Lapa Rios, but the chance to see birds, mammals, reptiles, and even humpback whales from your own private veranda only adds to the experience.
At dusk you will have the opportunity to experience the magic of the rainforest at night. With the help of a naturalist guide you will uncover unusual nocturnal creatures such as bats, insects, kinkajous and other wonders of this hidden, nocturnal world. Don’t worry: you’ll make it back before dinner!

Lapa Rios Eco Lodge Activities
The activities offered include: guided property tours which are included in your stay. Our four highly experienced Naturalist Guides offer an authentic local interpretation of the extraordinary natural beauty of our rainforest reserve. With them, discover 360° of our biodiversity — from the roots of the trees up beyond the canopy, and out to the sea. All guided tours in the Lapa Rios Reserve directly support the ongoing maintenance and land preservation of the rich Osa Peninsula biodiversity.
Relax in the spa, go surfing or go wildlife-watching. A number of exhilarating activities are also offered externally, including waterfall rappelling and canopy zip lining.

Lapa Rios Eco Lodge Departure Day
This morning, a ground transfer will take you back to the airport for your flight back to San Jose. During this flight you will enjoy views of several mountain systems such as the Talamanca mountain range.

Day 5 - San Jose: Airport to Arenal

Upon arrival at San Jose airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arenal.

Day 6 - Arenal Volcano: Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs
Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs
This morning is at your leisure. This beautiful and diverse region holds an abundance of incredible experiences for all to enjoy, from adrenalin adventure activities to more relaxed, leisurely walks and hot springs.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a visit to the Arenal Volcano, where you will observe the natural beauty of flowers, lush vegetation, howler monkeys and exotic birds as you walk along the beautiful trails. Later, you will have the chance to unwind in the natural hot springs with views of the majestic Arenal Volcano. This experience finishes with a delicious meal before we transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 7 - Arenal Volcano: Travel to the Monteverde Cloud Forest
Travel to the Monteverde Cloud Forest
This morning we depart from Arenal Volcano to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The first part of the trip is adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Arenal Lake, which we cross by boat before driving through the beautiful scenery of the Tilarán Mountain Range and arriving in Monteverde. We arrive to our hotel in the late afternoon, with the evening spent at your leisure.

Day 8 - Monteverde: Monteverde Cloud Forest Tour
Monteverde Cloud Forest Tour
This morning, enjoy a tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, a habitat for rare flora and fauna such as the quetzal. We visit the Tree Top walkway which is the ideal way to explore the beauty of the canopy and appreciate the incredible array of vegetation and exotic bird life that the region has to offer.
The afternoon is at your leisure, or take up one of the optional excursions on offer including a visit to the town of Santa Elena.
